Section 1 Costs of Glass Bottle Molds

Many clients consider customizing glass packaging for their brand or a new product line. This is common in various industries, including cosmetics, fragrances, and spirits. Examples include custom glass cream jars, glass mask containers, glass lotion bottles, unique glass candle holders, and custom liquor bottles. The order quantity typically ranges from 30,000 to 200,000 units, depending on the size and weight of the bottles. For specialty glass, such as pharmaceutical glass or colored glass (e.g., amber, red, or milky white glass), the minimum order quantity can range from 200,000 to 1 million units. Uniquely shaped glass bottles also require specific analysis. Clients can send their designs, and we will calculate the minimum order quantity, price, mold fee, and unit cost based on their requirements.

Section 2 Materials

Transparent glass is generally categorized into ordinary white glass, high white glass, and crystal white glass:

Ordinary White and High White Glass: These are typically used for producing pepper sauce bottles, pickle jars, and storage jars, which are common on supermarket shelves. Ordinary white glass can also be used to make bottles and jars if clients have higher requirements.

Crystal White Glass: This is used for perfume bottles and high-end liquor bottles.

Other options include milky white glass, black glass, red glass, blue glass, amber glass, and green glass. Some colors are produced seasonally, so early contact is necessary to schedule production. These special colors require more complex preparation and higher minimum order quantities than transparent glass.

For decorative purposes, we offer color spraying services to customize colors on transparent glass.

Section 3 Production Volume and Pricing

○ Bottles Over 750ml: Generally produced with semi-automatic or manual machines, with a minimum order quantity of 20,000 units.

○ Bottles Between 100ml and 750ml: Common glass bottles in this range are typically produced using drip machines, with 6 or 8 heads in domestic production, and a minimum order quantity of 100,000 units.

Unique Shaped Bottles: Regardless of capacity, these are usually produced with semi-automatic or manual machines. For bottles under 500ml, the minimum order quantity is 50,000 units, and for bottles over 500ml, it’s 20,000 units.

For custom high borosilicate glass, the minimum order quantity is only 3,000 units.

Section 4 Sampling Time for Glass Bottles

Mold production usually takes 20-30 days, and sampling takes about 15 days, as our production lines require scheduling. Glass machines operate 24/7 throughout the year because restarting the furnaces is energy-intensive. Therefore, our schedules are very tight, and once production starts, it cannot be stopped. Sampling is arranged after the completion of large production orders, so it requires waiting in line.

Customizing glass products involves significant planning and coordination. Clients should ensure all details are clarified before production to avoid delays and additional costs. By understanding the materials, production volumes, and timelines involved, clients can better manage their projects and achieve the desired outcomes with their custom glass products.
